A Wild Way To Bring In The New Year

ImageHold on to your hats, gay New Year's Eve is back in a big way.

On December 31 this year, as the clock strikes midnight into 2008, Fag Tag is teaming up with Fuzzy (the masterminds behind Field Day, Parklife and more) and New Mardi Gras to bring you the biggest NYE extravaganza Sydney has seen in a long time.

Taking over the Hordern Pavilion at the Entertainment Quarter, Wildlife is a brand spanking New Year's Eve celebration for the gay and lesbian community and our friends, restoring the infamous NYE parties at the Hordern back to where they should be.

Headlining Wildlife on NYE is the godfather of house himself, Frankie Knuckles. As a pioneer of the genre he helped create, Knuckles has sat at the forefront of house music for the past few decades, knocking out hit after hit. He was recently inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame, has won Grammy Awards, revolutionised the clubbing scene in New York and Chicago, and will be bringing this world of experience to Wildlife on NYE and take you on a journey as only he knows how.

Joining Frankie Knuckles on the main stage at the Hordern are crowd favourites, the Grammy award-winning Freemasons. Comprised of producers James Wiltshire and Russell Small (from Phats & Small), the Freemasons have had a string of number one hits, from "Watchin" to "Rain Down Love", and created some of the hottest remixes to ever hit a dance floor, like Beyonce’s "Ring The Alarm" and "Most Precious Love" by Blaze. They’ll be heating up the dancefloor at Wildlife on NYE at the Hordern.

Joining Frankie Knukles and Freemasons is Stonebridge. Best known for for his seminal club anthems "Put ‘Em High" and "Take Me Away", this hot Swedish DJ knows how to get a party started and will be bringing this skill to the Hordern this New Year’s Eve. Joining Frankie Knuckles, the Freemasons and Stonebridge will be a host of local DJs, hot entertainment and other wild surprises all to be announced over the coming weeks.

Wildlife is on at the Hordern this NYE from 10pm to 7am, proudly supporting the Gay and Lesbian Rights Lobby, ACON and New Mardi Gras.
